Feast Photographer needed!

The Phoenix UCG Feast site is looking for an individual with the desire to serve as our Feast photographer. This person would have an interest in photography in general and have a camera that can record digitally. They would attend most (or all!) extra-curricular activities to record God's people rejoicing in the Feast! If you have an eye for photography and could picture yourself serving in this capacity, please contact the Festival Coordinator, Mike Miller at mike_miller@ucg.org.

Sabbath Services before the Feast – September 26, 2015

This year the weekly Sabbath falls the day before the Feast begins. Many members and ministers will have already left for the Feast of Tabernacles before the weekly Sabbath. As a result, many congregations are canceling services before the Feast on September 26th.

We have provided a map that indicates which U.S. congregations have confirmed that they will hold services that day (indicated by a solid green star) and those who have indicated that services will be cancelled (indicated by an outline red star). We hope this map will help you to make your travel plans to this year’s Feast. Most congregations holding services will be meeting at their regular times, but it is best to contact the pastor as early as possible to make sure.

Feel free to print the map to leave on your information table or bulletin board at services. The PDF map can be found here - feast.ucg.org/sites/default/files/Sabbath-Services-2015-09-26.pdf

Update for: USA Panama City Beach, Florida

Greetings to all,

On our part, the preparation for the Feast is progressing well overall. To date, we have over 1,000 registered to attend the Feast in beautiful Panama City Beach. We're setting up chairs for 1,200 in the Grand Ballroom, which will fill the room. We hope things are going well with your preparations.

GOLF: I mentioned the possibility of having a four-man scramble Feast tournament at Holiday Golf and asked all those who want to sign up for it to send me your request by Sept. 1; as it stands to date (Sept. 2), we have six signed up and we need 16 to fill our quota. I will leave it open for now and if we have 16 by Feast time (Sept. 25), I'll see if Holiday Golf can and will accommodate us. Thanks to those of you who have signed up already.

ACTIVITY SCHEDULE: Some have asked about the Activities Schedule. I am unable to upload it to the Festival Update area because of some technical demands, which I've checked out with those in IT. I do have an Activity Schedule completed; it will located in the middle of our new Feast Brochure which is going to go to press (printed) very soon. Your Feast Brochure will be available for you to pick up at the Information Table by Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2015.

VOLUNTEERS: Let me thank our volunteers for their desire to make this Feast the best possible for you and your families. I'm always amazed and encouraged that so many of you volunteer to help out during the Feast. This year, because of the configuration of the week following Atonement, many of you might be on the road to the Feast by Thursday (Sept. 24) or Friday (Sept. 25). If some of you are able to help us set up on Friday, we would appreciate it.

Sept. 26 Sabbath service: This year we will have the weekly Sabbath service in the Grand Ballroom on Sept. 26 starting at 2 pm central time. Note: There are no weekly Sabbath services in either Mobile, Alabama or DeFuniak Springs on Sept. 26.

That's it for now. Please pray that everything goes well with our setup. Thanks very much.

May this be your best Feast ever!

Jerold W. Aust, Feast Coordinator
