Greetings to all of you planning to come to Galveston, Texas for the Feast of Tabernacles 2015 !
Two of the activities that we would like to “pre-plan” for are, Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn. To get discounted prices we are going to buy tickets in advance. Therefore, if you and your family would like to attend one of these parks, please let me know which attraction/s and how many tickets you would like to purchase.
The website to each park is included so that you can check them out yourself. Moody Gardens offers individual prices for the different attractions in the event you are not interested in a discounted day pass to all the attractions below. Please note that the Ropes Course and Zip Line are not part of the day package, but you do get a 25% discount on those tickets with your day pass should you want to go.
If you are interested in individual attractions and not the day pass, please plan to make those purchases personally, as we are only pre-ordering the day passes.
You may respond to Debbie Schultz (email@example.com) with your ticket reservations for the Moody Gardens or Schlitterbahn activities. At the Feast there will be someone at the Information Table 30 minutes before and after services, beginning Tuesday, Sept 29th so that you can pay for, and pick up your tickets.
*For those who may wish to put together their own package, Galveston offers discount tickets called the Island Pass to varying activities. I’m attaching the website in the event you may be interested in something like this. These tickets would need to be arranged for and purchased personally. http://www.galveston.com/default.asp
Deadline for ordering your discounted tickets is August 31st. Please feel free to pass this email along to anyone who may be attending the Feast in Galveston, but have not yet registered.

We hope you’ll join us for one of these opportunities to meet, fellowship, and plan Feast activities with other Young Adults and Singles attending the Dells this year. There will be a meet and greet for young adults/singles at 10 am on Monday, September 28 at the Bella Goose Coffeehouse, 1009 Standrock Rd. Wisconsin Dells. We have also planned a lunch for the singles, 40 and over, on Tuesday, September 29 at 1:00 at Applebee's, 340 Highway 13 Wisconsin Dells. Additionally, if there is sufficient interest, we would like to organize a group zipline activity for Wednesday, September 30. You can preview cost and additional information at: http://verticalillusions.com/chimney-rock-zip. Please contact Matthew/Tricia Hill email@example.com before August 28, if you are interested in zip-lining.
I hope that you have had a spiritually rewarding and fruitful summer. It’s hard to believe but the Feast is a little more than a month away!
One of the activities we are planning for this year’s Feast in Wisconsin Dells is a Family Dinner and Dance on Thursday evening, October 1. This activity will be at the same location as last year, the beautiful Glacier Canyon Lodge Conference Center. This dinner and dance will provide you with an evening of great fun, food, fellowship and relaxation with your spiritual family. Seniors, this activity will replace the seniors luncheon we have had in year’s past and include all of you in with our larger Feast family! Dress for the evening is dressy casual.
The buffet dinner menu will include sliced roast beef served with a mushroom beef demi, pasta primavera with steamed vegetables, green salad, garlic mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, coffee, iced tea, and milk. Dessert as well as snacks will be provided throughout the balance of the evening after dinner has concluded and will include such items as cheese and fruit platters with crackers, fresh baked cookies, brownies, potato chips, pretzels, and party mix. During most of the evening there will be a cash bar and unlimited free soda.
After dinner has concluded we will be providing a wide range of music for you by our own DJ, Dan Lausted. Dan will be playing music from many different eras for your enjoyment. So get out on that dance floor and dance to your heart’s content! Dan will do his best to ensure that the music volume will be low enough to allow for conversations at the tables throughout the room.
In additional to great music…
• We will have an art area for younger children – who doesn’t like art!?
• We will have games for those who want to mingle, but are afraid of the dance floor.
• We will have a slide show as we did last year showing your pictures from the feast.
• We are working on other fun things as well, and will update all as we make more plans!
• We will have the ability for anyone to request music via SMS or email! The
number will be provided and posted during the feast, and at the start of the dance.
• We will have party favors to help everyone loosen up and have fun! You’ll have to come to find out what they are!
It is sure to be a good time had by all! Don’t miss it. Spend the evening with your family and your extended church family for some good clean fun.
One admission price will get you all of this and you will be provided a wristband to allow you to come and go as you please.
Costs for the event are $22 for adults (ages 11-64), $17 for seniors (age 65+), and $14 for children (ages 2-10). There is no charge for children two and under who may eat from their parent’s plates. Should you desire to come to the dance only your admission is $10 per individual and $30 per family. These costs are significantly reduced from the actual costs in the hopes that everyone who wants to come will be able to. We welcome donations to help cover the costs and to help others attend.
We have a limit of 350 people for the buffet so reserve your seat now! Ticket requests and payment must be received no later than September 25. For a ticket order form please e-mail Mr. Dan Dowd at firstname.lastname@example.org

Myers Brothers "Good Works" Fund Raiser Concert has been changed from Monday night, September 28, to Saturday night, October 3 at 7:30 PM at the Crystal Grand. Come to the free benefit concert! You’ll not only have the opportunity to enjoy good Christian music, but also to raise funds to help our own brethren around the world through the Good Works and LifeNets Programs. Admission is free! Freewill donations will be encouraged with 100% going to the United Church of God’s Good Works and LifeNets Programs. The Myers will also be donating the proceeds from CD sales to the project as well. (The specific project will be announced at the Feast site.) Last Feast, brethren were able to contribute over $12,000.00 to provide a water bore hole to our brethren in Brazil! Take advantage of this opportunity to help the brethren and hear the Myers Brothers perform selections from their 5 CD’s. Plan to come and support our needy brethren around the world.
